Inventory Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to manage stock levels, track inventory movement, and ensure accurate record-keeping within the organization. This role involves monitoring incoming and outgoing items, maintaining proper stock documentation, and ensuring inventory availability to support smooth daily operations.
The successful candidate will uphold company procedures for stock management, ensure accuracy in inventory records, support efficient warehouse operations, and contribute to overall operational efficiency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock and materials accurately
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records for all items in storage and issued out
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking to prevent shortages
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all inventory items
- Issue materials and supplies based on approved requests and procedures
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams for stock management
- Identify and report damaged, expired, or missing items promptly
- Maintain proper documentation for all inventory movements and transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies on inventory control and warehouse management
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, stock control, or storekeeping is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams (operations, procurement, finance)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow processes consistently
- Ability to manage multiple stock items and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel or inventory/ERP systems is an advantage)
- Experience in logistics, transport, retail, or warehouse operations is a plus
